Hsin-Yi Nebeker is a highly experienced piano teacher with over 20 years of teaching expertise. Originally from Tamsui, Taiwan, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Brigham Young University, studying with Mona Smith and Robert B. Smith. She later completed her Master’s Degree in Piano Performance at The University of Texas at Austin, where she studied under Nancy Garrett and Dr. Betty Mallard.

After teaching in AISD community schools, Hsin-Yi opened her own private studio, offering personalized, one-on-one instruction. She later stepped away from teaching to raise her children, devoting eight years to nurturing their growth and guiding them to compete at both national and international levels. In 2009, once her children were ready to pursue music independently, she reopened her studio and has since focused on refining her students’ performance skills.

Hsin-Yi’s teaching philosophy centers on the art of performance. She believes success in music comes not just from technical skill, but from the ability to engage and move an audience. Her goal is to help students develop confidence, stage presence, and expressive communication through music.

With her guidance, students embark on a meaningful journey of artistic mastery. Through structured training and thoughtful support, she empowers pianists to bring their talents to life on stage—and to share them with lasting impact.
